Every shoot is personal and I treat each as if I were the client, expecting you to accept no less than I myself would from another photographer. As we work together, you will quickly realize that you aren’t just getting the time we spend during the shoot.
Of course there is a technical aspect which is why I scout locations for lighting, bring reflectors and diffusers, and continually learn and grow my profession. On the other hand, as the process begins, I give 150% of myself to my work and I shoot from the heart. I establish relationships with my clients and let them know I am their go to person when it comes to the most important events in life. When children are included, I spend a little extra time letting them get to know me before we begin so they are comfortable. A child who is placed in front of a camera and told to smile doesn’t show their true personality and therefore the images are not a true representation of who they are as individuals.
My goal as a photographer is not to take photos; I am there to capture the bonds and emotions shared between the people I am working with. I am not going to bark orders about posing or choosing locations, I will make suggestions based on my knowledge but these images are your memories and I can’t help you capture them without your input and that is why we work as a team to create them. As we get to know one another, I become an extension of your family and get the privilege of watching your family grow and experience the milestones of life that we all so fondly cherish.
Because I am a wife and mother, I understand the importance of treasuring the fleeting moments. I know that as we get caught up with the hustle and bustle of life that the years slip by very quickly.
The photographs we create are not merely images printed on paper, they allow you to step back in time and relive the essence of that moment. They represent who you are and what you’ve been through in life, things like the birth of a child, a birthday, a school dance, graduation, an engagement, a wedding, and so much more. These are your moments, your slices of time frozen and preserved to be cherished and valued throughout life.
As your photographer, I will always treat your "moments" as if they were my own.
